Can anyone recommend a laptop battery that i could use inste

I have a dell laptop (inspiron 1546) and I've been told the Dell Laptop Battery isn't going to last much longer and that I need to get a new Laptop Battery, but this one has been dreadful. Even when it was new it only lasted about an hour when not plugged into the charger, and I really don't want to replace it with another dell battery. Does anyone know if there's another brand of battery I can use in a dell laptop that will function properly but won't be too expensive? How about Asus Laptop Battery?
